Arcus FM strengthens its leadership team with new appointments

Arcus FM strengthens its leadership team with new appointments

Arcus FM, a tech-led facilities management company, has made two new senior appointments strengthening its top team.

Earlier this year the FM firm received a significant strategic investment from ESO Capital Partners and as part of its acceleration and expansion within the FM industry, it welcomes a new non-executive chair and MD of Arcus multi-client business.

Patrick Macdonald has been appointed as the new non-executive Chair of Arcus. Patrick joined the company at the end of last month and has previously held senior executive roles at blue-chip companies including Unilever, Boston Consulting Group, GE and John Menzies. He is currently a non-executive director for several B2B service businesses including managed print provider CCS and call answering service Moneypenny. He is also a trustee of the Woodland Trust.

Patrick said: “I’m delighted to be joining Arcus as the company expands its service offering and the customers it serves. Arcus uses its unparalleled technology to deliver exceptional service to its clients. I have been very impressed with the outstanding quality of the business and the leadership team, and I look forward to working with them to build upon the organisation’s many strengths.”

Patrick brings with him a wealth of international business leadership experience, with key skills in buy-and-build/scaleup and tech replatforming.

Arcus has also appointed a new managing director. Mark Woods will take up the role from October 2020. Having spent over 20 years at Space Engineering Services, Mark held many engineering and management positions including technical director, service director and in 2013 he became joint MD.

Mark Woods said: “Being a people person, strong culture values are important to me, Arcus has incredibly strong social values. I am looking forward to joining the Arcus team and being an intrinsic part of their next phase of growth and maturity.”

As President of the British Refrigeration Association, Mark will bring with him invaluable industry knowledge and experience that will further strengthen Arcus’ refrigeration capabilities.

CEO of Arcus, Chris Green said: “At Arcus, we strive to deliver a winning service for our clients. As we continue to expand within our sector it’s vital that we structure the business to support our next phase of growth.

“We’re delighted to welcome Patrick on board who, with his vast knowledge and experience will bolster our future growth plans.

“We’re also thrilled to have Mark join as multi-client MD in the autumn. Mark will be a real asset to our senior leadership team. His previous experience and extensive sector knowledge make him the ideal candidate to lead as our multi-client managing director.”
