Services

Arcus has been created on the principle of delivering a total FM solution. We have evolved from being a pure managing agent with a small fabric maintenance team to a business able to self-deliver the majority of FM services on a national scale:

Our success as an FM provider is our willingness and ability to flex our services to mirror the changing demands of our clients, with the capability to deliver bundled and single-stream services.

We understand that one size does not fit all. This is why our services have been designed to suit the diverse needs of our clients, allowing them to focus on their priorities.

MECHANICAL

MECHANICAL

Our trained maintenance teams provide both planned and reactive services on all mechanical requirements. We can take care of everything from changing filters and maintaining pipework, to service and repair work on pumps and commercial air handling units.

We can tailor-make planned preventative schedules to keep our clients’ equipment running efficiently for longer, reducing the need for reactive call-outs.

We conduct water hygiene work to manage any potential risk, from recording water temperatures to full hot water service (HWS) maintenance.

We carry out air conditioning repairs and maintenance, including compliance F-Gas leak testing. As well as gas appliance repair, servicing and compliance testing.

We have extensive knowledge of green technologies.

We also have specialist teams to assist with building management and control systems and all aspects of HVAC.

ELECTRICAL

ELECTRICAL

From a broken plug socket to the installation of power supplies, we cover a wide range of commercial electrical work and all aspects of LV service and maintenance. Our planned maintenance regimes include everything from visual checks to fully intrusive compliance testing.

Our engineers can support your site through outages, by assisting in the installation of generators and ensuring there is sufficient fuel to keep them running. When all the power is fully restored, we carry out checks to make sure your equipment is in working order, so you can focus of what matters.

We developed servicing and maintenance for the largest rooftop provider of PV solar generation in Europe. This includes annual maintenance, in-depth site surveys, array mapping, remote monitoring and ways to improve efficiency.

We are NICEIC registered and have specialist individuals and test equipment for in-depth investigation and monitoring of electrical systems.

We can tailor-make planned preventative schedules to keep your equipment running efficiently for longer, reducing the need for reactive call-outs.

HVAC

HVAC

When your air conditioning fails in the middle of summer, or your heating fails in the middle of winter, we appreciate your colleagues and customers may be unhappy. This is the last thing we want. To reduce the likelihood of things going wrong, we are able to remotely monitor your assets to predict failures before they happen, increasing asset up-time and ensuring that you can concentrate on what’s important.

This is all done in conjunction with supporting energy reductions and using the systems when needed. Regular checks both remotely and locally to ensure your systems are kept running to their optimum performance, allowing you and your customers to get on with your day.

REFRIGERATION

REFRIGERATION

We understand that one of the most frustrating things for our customers is not being able to display products due to a refrigeration issue. Our engineers can support with a range of refrigeration equipment including traditional refrigerant and naturals such as CO2 and Hydrocarbons, as well as manage F-Gas usage so that you are compliant.

Our Refrigeration Bureau has the ability to remotely monitor refrigeration systems and predict possible breakdowns before they happen. Through continuous monitoring and analysis, we are able to implement and improve systems and their efficiency, saving our customers energy and money.

DRAINAGE

DRAINAGE

We understand that drainage issues can be very unpleasant and have a serious health and safety impact on your business. We appreciate that having customer restrooms and kitchens out of operation can be extremely damaging to your brand.

We pride ourselves on doing it right first time to remove the need for return visits. Our nationwide engineers use high pressure water jetting, CCTV equipment and survey methods. Our teams are equipped to locate and establish the root cause of the problem, quickly and effectively, creating solutions and keep your systems clear and free flowing.

SOFT SERVICES

SOFT SERVICES

Our national cleaning services are created not only to suit the exact needs of each client but also each site. To achieve this, our specialist teams utilise a combination of innovative machinery, LEAN processes and industry-leading technology bespoke to client requirements.

We’re transforming the traditional perception of cleaning services by providing clear career pathways for our cleaning colleagues, through learning and development opportunities.

Linking the activities our technicians and engineers carry out ensures excellent efficiency and a speedy response to any situation.

DISTRIBUTION CENTRES

DISTRIBUTION CENTRES

We manage and deliver a comprehensive planned and reactive facilities management service within distribution centres across the UK.

Our distribution centre team has specialist knowledge. Their bespoke service is designed with the environment in mind. We understand how important it is to our clients to have a fully operational distribution network and the impact it can have if things go wrong. Our role is to keep you legally and operationally compliant and maximise operating opportunities with a safe and lean approach.

Our distribution centre contract is uniquely managed on an individual site basis. This reflects the ever-changing requirements of a busy, distribution estate. Across all sites, we deliver legal and operational compliance PPM and reactive repairs to building fabric, lighting, drainage, HVAC, mechanical, electrical, refrigeration, fire safety and building management systems. (We can also support in-house with energy management and remote monitoring and helpdesk function).

BUILDING AND FABRIC

BUILDING AND FABRIC

Our regional facilities services represent a broad spectrum of FM industry professionals with backgrounds ranging from electrical and refrigeration engineers to building construction specialists and surveyors.

Our technicians operate 24 hours a day, 365 days a year throughout the UK, specialising in flooring, fire doors, ceiling tiles, painting, locks, roof repairs, car park bollards and pest proofing.

SMaRT hub

SMaRT hub

Our innovative SMaRT hub is our internal bureau, managed by a team of dedicated energy professionals and subject matter experts.

The SMaRT hub makes FM services simpler, smarter, quicker and cheaper, through the use of remote data analysis and the creation of smarter maintenance and real-time technology:

  • Building management system technicians investigate and alter the site heating and ventilation, hot water systems and lighting control strategies to best suit current trading trends and to assist energy management
  • Mechanical and engineering technicians ensure that any engineering issues with heating and ventilation, hot water and lighting are investigated and our strategy is designed to provide optimum running efficiencies
  • Fridge bureau technicians manage the refrigeration temperature monitoring system providing governance for engineering, service support, risk management, project assistance and energy control
  • Energy bureau technicians use our in-house business intellect software platform to produce real-time asset performance statistics, machine learning and data-to-data analytics

We’re constantly looking to implement innovation and research methods of controlling, managing, delivering and measuring benefits we can develop and test for our clients. We utilise a range of industry-leading methodologies, including predictive rule sets, condition-based monitoring, weather analysis and the use of the internet of thing (IoT).

Helpdesk

Helpdesk

Our helpdesk is 24 hours a day, seven days a week, 365 days a year.

We provide our colleagues with comprehensive training so they are constantly improving their facilities management knowledge-base.

Our teams are passionate about customer service. We are consistently exceeding expectations and understand that a ‘right first time’ service begins with the correct diagnosis at the first point of contact.

Our online facilities management knowledge database, containing detailed information on all services, photos of equipment and typical faults are all designed to exceed the exact requirements of our clients.

Innovation

Innovation

Working closely with our clients, we have an internal objective to be a technology led partner, which means we commit to embedding a culture of innovation within our service delivery.

Our culture of innovation specifically targets improved service outcome standards, better colleague experiences and the use of technological solutions to eliminate duplication and reduce costs.

We also embrace the agile and scrum principals in our approach to technology and innovation, helping us stay frugal and fleet of foot.

We have a full-scale IoT network, which we have developed with our clients. This began with remote monitoring of all the refrigeration units and has grown to include heating, ventilation, lighting, energy metering, photovoltaics and biomass. This enables us to have a truly global view of the health of the assets across our clients’ estate.

We can effectively optimise our clients’ assets to save energy.
