Our Net Zero Pathway represents Arcus’ bold commitment to achieving net-zero emissions by 2040. Aligned with the Science-Based Target Initiative (SBTi), this strategy outlines key steps to drastically reduce Scope 1, 2, and 3 emissions by 90%, supported by actionable near-term targets for 2030.
The pathway focuses on five core areas: Transport, Arcus Estates & Home Working, Supply Chain & Waste, Technology & Innovation, and Residual Emissions Offsetting. Each area highlights specific measures, from fleet electrification to adopting circular economy principles, ensuring we tackle emissions at every level.

The Sustainability Impact Report 2024/25 provides an overview of Arcus’ environmental, social and governance progress from April 2024 to March 2025. It highlights the actions we are taking to reduce our environmental impact, support our colleagues and communities, and embed sustainability across the way we operate.
This year’s report includes the validation of our near-term and net-zero carbon reduction targets by the Science Based Targets initiative, the addition of 50 electric vehicles to our van fleet, an 82.2% increase in grey fleet mileage driven in battery electric cars, and a reduction in total Scope 1 emissions compared to the previous year.
The report also covers our continued focus on waste reduction, with 96.2% of waste diverted from disposal or recycled, alongside progress in health and safety, training and development, social value, equality, diversity and inclusion, and responsible business governance.
