A FM journey to sustainability

This year on 11 May 2022, we are celebrating World FM Day, hosted by Global FM. This is an annual campaign which recognises and celebrates the Facilities Management industry and the vital work that supports the effort of businesses around the world. The theme for this year is ‘Leading a Sustainable Future’, which acknowledges the major role workplace and facilities managers have as agents of change in this area.

Here at Arcus, we have a goal of becoming a sustainable leader in the FM field and we are focused on changing the future of FM through the use of technology and by committing ourselves fully embedding sustainable practices.

Over the past year, we were proud to announce that for our own sustainability actions, we were awarded the Carbon Footprint Standard – CO₂e Reduced and the Silver Award in the 2021 Sustainable Facilities Management Index (SFMI); and won the Technology in FM Award for how our proprietary Helix IoT platform works hand-in-hand with our experts in our SMaRT Hub team to optimise the energy usage and yield from a major clients renewable energy infrastructure – driving down both their carbon footprint and energy usage. This is an unrelenting focus that will never stop or standstill.

We have embedded a culture of everyday actions across our business in becoming more sustainable, that adds up to have a significant positive impact on the environment and society.

Arcus’ CEO, Chris Green says, “We have ambitious and stretching targets to improve both our own and our customers’ sustainability. A special thanks to the leadership and dedication shown by our colleagues, we are making a real positive impact on the environment and society.”

“Thank you to each and every one of our colleagues for embarking on this sustainable journey with us and for continuously delivering innovation and a winning service for our customers.”
