Arcus’s EDI vision is simple. We want to create a diverse workforce and an inclusive workplace culture where every Arcus colleague feels included so they can be themselves and achieve their full potential.
Whilst our vision is simple, we know that we have a long way to go before we can achieve this and to support these efforts, at the beginning of September, we launched our ‘I Am Arcus’ campaign.
The first steps of our ‘I Am Arcus’ campaign focuses on improving our data to have a clearer understanding of the demographics of our workforce.
While we know that the majority of our population is male, there are still gaps in our knowledge of the personal characteristics of much of our workforce.
Ensuring the information we hold about our employees is an accurate and a fair representation of who they are, allows us to ensure we make the right decisions and have the best plans in place to create a supportive, inclusive environment for everyone.
It also enables us to engage with those under-represented groups and open up dialogue about how we can make our culture, our conditions, and our organisation stronger – and attract and retain the best talent.
