Arcus get a hole in one and raise over £32,000 for Mind and Springfield Mind

Last Thursday (1 August), award-winning facilities management company, Arcus, held its annual Charity Golf Day in aid of this year’s chosen charities Mind, and Springfield Mind.

Arcus and Sainsbury’s colleagues and contractors came together at the Forest of Arden Marriott Hotel & Country Club, Meriden, and took to the course for a competitive round of golf. The day was all in support of the mental health charities Mind, and Springfield Mind, who directly support people in the Warwickshire and Worcestershire areas. Both charities do incredible work providing advice and support to empower anyone experiencing mental health problems.

In total, Arcus raised over £32,000, which will be split between the two charities. This impressive sum of money will help the charities with their continuous campaigning to improve services, raise awareness, promote understanding and deliver mental health support in the local community.

Natalie Klass, Contract Administration Coordinator at Arcus, and event organiser said: “It was a brilliant day and we’ve been overwhelmed by the generosity of those who attended. It’s been a really rewarding event to be involved in and a massive thank you to our contractors and Sainsbury’s colleagues and their contractors, for digging deal for such worthy causes.”

Jo Min, Deputy Chief Executive for Springfield Mind said: “Thank you so much to everyone that supported the event and to Arcus for setting it up – it’s absolutely fantastic! The funding will support us in being able to reach many more people across the area.”

The day was rounded off with a three-course meal which was followed by an auction with some fantastic prizes, a pop-up casino and a magician, with all proceeds going to the charities.
