Arcus is crowned the winner of the FM Specialist of the Year Award

Last night Arcus was crowned FM Specialist of the Year 2019, at the Construction News Specialists Awards.

The national facilities management company impressed the judging panel back in February, showcasing its innovative ways of working that have promoted strong growth within the organisation. The face-to-face judging process gave Arcus the chance to highlight its inspirational business and the very best projects of the last 12 months.

In particular, the company showcased its SMaRT (Smarter Maintenance and Real-time Technology) hub, which supports 1,740 buildings across the UK. The inhouse hub is designed to improve the overall customer experience, while significantly reducing the carbon footprint, and saving its clients millions in cost avoidance and energy savings.

Steve Willis, Chief Operating Officer for Arcus, said: “I’m delighted that we’ve been awarded the title of FM Specialist of the Year.

“In such a fluid industry our colleagues embrace continuous change and understand the need to be reliable and agile. Our people are what make us great, and through the use of industry-leading technology we’re able to deliver a winning service for our clients’ time and time again.”

The judges described Arcus as: “A strong, established business, but its work on increasing social value and investing in its people made it stand out in a very competitive field.

“The strong corporate culture that Arcus showed with its entry will see it through a period of significant growth.”

The Grosvenor House Hotel saw more than 750 attendees from leading specialist organisations gather at the sparkling ceremony in central London.
