Arcus Supports Community Testing

Arcus FM has a constant and determined focus on ensuring they have a positive impact on the communities they serve. When the government announced the end of mandatory and free testing for individuals, the business decided to utilise their surplus lateral flow tests for the good of the community.

In line with the brand’s Social Value strategy, it was decided that these tests would be passed on to vulnerable members of our local communities. With the majority of these tests being located in their Redditch and Upminster offices, the team at Arcus reached out to local authorities and care schemes to see what support they needed.

The tests from the Redditch office have been handed to Warwickshire County Council, who are distributing 2000 boxes of test kits to projects which support adult care programmes, as well as social welfare services for children and their families. A further 500 test boxes have been shipped from Arcus’ Upminster office to Havering Care Homes, supporting elderly people and their carers, at a time when winter infections are on the rise.

Councillor Margaret Bell, Portfolio Holder for Adult Social Care & Health for Warwickshire County Council, has expressed her thanks to Arcus FM: “We are very grateful to Arcus FM for donating a number of Lateral Flow Tests (LFTs) to Warwickshire County Council after they no longer had a need for them.

“The tests have proved very useful and have been distributed amongst frontline employees in our adult social care teams so they can continue to keep themselves and their customers safe. Some of the boxes have also been given to an extra care housing setting to so they can continue testing vulnerable residents.”
