Facilities management company, Arcus, has partnered with national mental health charity Mind, to raise money, so that no one has to face a mental health condition alone.
Collectively the organisation has raised over £4,600 which will hopefully make a big difference to those people reaching out to the charity for support. The money raised will be able to offer 40 people a place on a 10-week wellbeing group, or help 805 people, by keeping the information line open for 23 hours.
To raise the funds, Arcus held a Christmas raffle, with 60 fantastic prizes donated by colleagues and contractors, including an iPad mini, 43inch TV, and luxury hampers, with all proceeds going to Mind.
Colleagues from across the organisation dug deep and more than two thousand tickets were brought over a six-week period.
Steve Willis, Chief Operating Officer for Arcus, said: “Knowing that one in four people experience mental health issues each year, it’s so important for us as an organisation to support in any way we can.
“Our CSR committee has done an amazing job drumming up support and raising awareness, and it’s great to see so many colleagues wanting to get involved, by donating what they can for such a vital cause.”
