Facilities management service provider Arcus FM has appointed Theresa Bell as its Chief Executive Officer.
Bell, who assumed the role on 1 October, joined Arcus in 2021 as Chief Commercial Officer. She began her career in contract catering at Sodexo, before broadening her FM exposure through senior leadership roles at businesses including ISS and CBRE across Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
Since joining, Bell has driven significant growth at Arcus, expanding the business beyond its retail heartland into corporate, logistics, and hospitality and leisure, including securing a landmark five-year contract to deliver integrated facilities management across Santander’s full UK estate. She has also played a central role in strengthening Arcus’s nationwide self-delivery technical services capability, a key differentiator in an increasingly competitive market.
The appointment sees Bell succeed Chris Green, Arcus’ co-founder who has held the role for the first 17 years of the business’s growth. He moves to role of Executive Chair, overseeing the Arcus board, as well as retaining an executive role to oversee the ongoing development of Arcus’ renewables maintenance proposition.

Commenting on her appointment, Bell said:
“I’m hugely excited to be stepping into this role. Chris and I have spent a great deal of time preparing for the transition, with a clear focus on growth while keeping the continuity that’s made Arcus what it is. We’ve built an ambitious, high-performing business, that is having a huge impact in the market. My aim is to accelerate our growth and develop our offering further.
“We’re placing substantial investment in our technology, renewables, and workplace services; and have huge potential for future growth. I’m honoured to be leading a business delivering great outcomes for customers. Not only this, but we’ve got a great story to tell, and I’m committed to being visible in not only sharing it and being a champion for facilities management, but leading the sector to harness its power to help solve the skills shortage and other crucial challenges facing the country.”

Chris Green said:
“Arcus is a business I’m exceptionally proud of, and I’m delighted that Theresa has been appointed to the role of CEO. The business we have built over the past 17 years is strong and has the firm foundations for future growth. We really have limitless potential and opportunity, and these changes are designed to ensure we can capitalise on that.
“I believe the best thing about Arcus is our people and our culture, and in Theresa we have a leader that has experienced that first-hand and shares my view. She understands the Arcus business, what it makes it special, and where we have opportunities to go further. Under her leadership, this business will continue to flourish, to grow, and will lead the FM market.”
